At Duncan Print Group we are committed to the care of the environment, prevention of pollution, efficient use of natural resources and compliance to all applicable legal requirements. This is not just a statement but is a commitment throughout our organisation.
In August 2007 we became accredited to the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council, certificate TT-COC-002414) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes, certificate PEFC/16-33-266), allowing all of our products to be certified as coming from sustainable and managed forests. In September we achieved the ISO 14001 environmental standard.
As this is an increasingly important area for our customers we have also re-focussed our efforts toward providing an environmentally aware service. We design to minimise board and paper wastage and seek to offer the most appropriate manufacturing routes to further reduce redundancy, waste and cost. We also offer our clients advice on stock selection and provide a full range of recycled materials or content from sustainable sources.
As part of our on-going commitment we continually research new materials and processes with lower environmental impact. We have projects on-going with The Carbon Trust and Envirowise to help further reduce energy consumption and waste. There are active recycling drives for all materials to reduce landfill and projects aimed to minimise the use of chemicals and explore more efficient methods of production.
